Start of vin matches that. I'll upload photo of the plate when I get home. But going from what adrenalin just said that definitely matches up.

Did you quote that VIN from memory?

Yes sir I did

It's the "kdgyg" that matters, it specifies engine type & chassis variant.

Also can anyone explain this one then?
Rang up to get insurance before I picked it up last week and the lady on the phone just asked for the number plate and she said it came up on the system as an STi as well? Confusing!

You can make 'mistakes' when registering and insuring cars, especially people who dont know the difference. Explanation would be that car has been insured with that insurer before as an sti, mistakingly, or they have access to the DPI database, which also lists the car model incorrectly.

Shouldn't make fuck all of difference really... Just trying to help you work out what model car you infact own

The way i see it... Its a LTD edition and one of the previous owners have dumped a EJ207 init and thats where the confusion around the STI is coming from. From factory, correct me if im wrong but these came with a 205. Maybe the DPI put it through as a STI due to the 207 ? Who knows.

Like already said before but, nice car. In my opinion that cherry black is one of the nicest colours ive seen when in the sunlight.
