I don't mind the SIL80, but on the fence with the 1VIA.

But good to see you are keeping your mad skid skills up to scratch

Some of you might have seen some of the parts I am selling from the wreck I picked up.. But the reason I bought it is for the following that will soon enough find their way into my gc8..

EJ257 Shortblock Built with:
- Cosworth forged piston rings
- Cosworth pins and circlips
- Cosworth forged connecting rods
- Cosworth big end bearings
- Cosworth main & rod bearings
- Cosworth valve spring set
- Cosworth high Pressure Oil pump
- Cosworth High Volume oil pan
- Cosworth Oil Baffle Plate
- Cosworth kevlar timing belt
- ARP 2000 head stud kit
- LIC motorsports adustable timing belt idler bearings
- Cobb lightweight pulley

The plan is to mate the shortblock to the standard wrx 2.0L non-avcs heads. I am also planning on purchasing Cosworth 2.0L non-avcs camshafts to suit and replace the avcs ones that are currently in the motor.

Some other things from the wreck that will be making there way into my car:
- 6 speed gearbox with DCCD
- Cusco carbon twin plate clutch
- GT Spec Unequal Length Headers
- Brembo calipers ( Need 01-04 sti rotors, new pads and kartboy rear adapter)
- Possibly Process West surge tank with bosch 044 fuel pump (if my walbro gss342 doesnt cut it)

I will also be sourcing the following to install as well:

- Z32 AFM
- Front mount intercooler
- GFB Deceptor Pro Blow off valve
- Decap standard injectors ( or source top feed injector rail kit and use the ones from the wreck )
- Retune the Power FC

I will see how much power that setup makes, im sure it will satisfy me for a while, but a bigger turbo and running E85 aren't off the cards.

If anybody has any idea on what kind of power limits the stock my00 wrx camshafts, 04 sti top mount, walbro gss342 or the stock gc8 cooling system will have, that would be greatly appreciated.

In other news.. I have ordered a c-west front half spoiler, currently on backorder from japan.. Cost way too much for what it is, but will look super sexy, and make me happy

So much for a few basic mods..

Why wouldn't you just keep the 2.5L heads on the 2.5L bottom end ?

Spoke to doug @ stechnic a while back. Said it is a big fuck around with the wiring, as the 2.5L heads have avcs and the GC8 doesnt (few other things aswell, I cant remember) I was told that 2.5L bottom end with the 2.0L non-avcs heads will use all my existing wiring. Just need to retune the power FC.
