Cheers mate.. I could say the same about yours

I initially fitted a standard wrx one in about an hour and screwed that up first. I spend a good 4 hours cutting and checking, and finally filing down the STI one.. Eventually got there and looks the goods.

I kept looking at these pics to see how much was required to be cut off..

Never been a fan on 17's but i see what you mean. I initially went 18's as i already had tyres in my garage to suit. I am happy with it looks wise. And it already scraps the front lip and exhaust on most decent sized speed humps, so if anything its going to be raised up.

I have also picked up 05-07 STI bottom mounts to suit my STD coilovers for the conversion. and also ordered dba 4000 slotted fronts and oem replacement rear 5x114.3 rotors as the ones I had were worn out..

Just need to order gearbox and diff oil, and I have everything for my driveline conversion, which should be all in a couple of weeks

Nothing has gone in yet, as I haven't had a good time to take my car off the road yet. Everything I need has now been pulled out of the 2006 sti. I am planning on putting just the 6 speed, brembos and hubs in to start off. Everything is ready to go in, just need to find a time

box, diff & hubs

new dba 4000 slotted rotors:

Also got some goodies which I will put in when the new engine goes in later on, the plan is to make the engine bay look as stock as possible:

Aluminium radiator, Fans and shroud, Black silicone coolant and heater hoses, & Ultrex black radiator shroud.

hybrid front mount & piping, (will be getting powdercoated black):

Process west surge tank (will be getting powdercoated black) with bosch pump:

I also got a z32 afm with wiring, greddy oil catch can (will be getting powdercoated black) but no pics.

I will also be buying black silicone intake pipe, black silicone intercooler joiners, and black short fat bit (to suit z32 afm),

I will then be swapping the ej257 heads with cosworth cams etc with some v5 sti heads also with cosworth cams etc, so i dont have to screw around with rewiring. But then will need to save some more cash to get the heads checked over, new gaskets, oil etc, and get the motor put in and then retuned.

At this stage I am thinking of keeping blouch td-05 20g and the 2005 wrx de-capped injectors and running 98 still, to fit the top feed injectors I am planning on finding an early gd sti manifold, to suits, and also do the coilpack conversion.

Depending on the financial situation and how happy this setup makes me I could be interested in a bigger turbo, injectors and e85. But that is in the distant future. As i think for an everyday car with the occasional track day, it is already over the top!

In other news I also pulled off some stickers, and got some window tint 35% front and 20% rear, which will be going on!

rear end is now in

old R160 diff is out and the R180 diff is in, and has been filled up with redline 75w90. Also the rear hubs / shafts / knuckles are in, so it's now 5x114.3 pcd.

Brake setup as of now:

- Brembo calipers
- Dba 4000 rotors
- Endless ccrg pads
- HEL braided brake lines
- Castrol react performance fluid

Also the 5 speed box and front hubs have been pulled out, still got to put the new goodies in though.

Also picked up another set of 5x114.3 sti rims, with federal 595 rsr semi slicks, only a bit of tread left, but couldn't complain for the price, and will do for now, until I save up more $$

Will have all my old bits and pieces for sale soon.

Cant wait to get it back on the road, and hopefully the track
