Thats funny, you'd think perrin was the dux nuts....i mean you pay for quality yet get leaks.....have they always been like that Waxdass? Are they coated and wrapped? Unwrapped?

yeah - the thing is i didnt test them before hand as they were ceramic coated and wrapped. I took the wrapping off when i re-did my downpipe, and notice it was pretty bad.
The exhaust shop tried to fix it as much as they could but they still leak bad.

Its actually a common problem - heaps of people with same issues over on iwsti and nasioc... happens to most slip joins if they dont carbon up properly.
Fix is either to weld... which i dont really wanna do.. or get some sort of tube clamps. Dunno which way im gonna go yet.

Service and mildly re-tuned by Sean seems very responsive now

CIC said when I got mine coated that once it is coated you cannot weld them as the coating actually overtime combines with the metal. Don't know if I believe it or not.

You don't think the wrap holding in extra heat might have something to do with them developing the leak in the first place.
