I wanted the size of your turbo/injectors to be the limiting factor....Which it was.

This is pretty much what I am after! A good foundation for the daily driving immediate future, and i can go ballistic on the injectors, pump, turbo and tune to create a monster a bit further down the track...

$8-10,000+ already (ecu, turbo, IC, other items not listed)
$8-10,000 now on engine
$8-10,000 all other bits next year (suspension, brakes, turbo, injectors etc)
$8-10,000 gearbox 6 speed!

So, to get the car similar to Pete's was...$30,000 +

Up for that?

maybe be a daft question but what bhp is 200kw?? coz by the sounds of it with your intended mods i am guessing you are chaseing around 350bhp????

And curious as to why it seems alot of you guys dont seem to have anything to monitor what your engine is doing??

a few things other in the uk which are usually a must are

knocklink
egt gauge
afr gauge
lambda link
or wide band lambda

not all of em obviously in the car but at least one or two of em when going over 350bhp lambda and knocklink can sit nicely in heater ducts just had a thought what rateing is the fuel over there anyway as we can only get 99 ron then we gotta use octane booster to hit the magic 100 ron

Gauges are rarely mentioned because by the time you notice a failure on a gauge, it has already happened.

In saying that I have a full selection of bling gauges in my car as I like to know how much I have just punished it

$8-10,000 Got the turbo, got the ecu, got the IC
$8-10,000 Suspension on it's way, brakes ready and waiting
Sticking with the five speed for now

So that just leaves..... The engine?
