Check your battery, flat batteries cause big problems with your brant system. Also even though they have rewired the brant it could still be a faulty unit. Did you have them check it out as well or just do the wiring?

They only did the wiring.. I just called them and they said its probaly a faulty key pad module.. $350 to replace it fk that might as well get a better alarm system fitted with GPS tracking if i have to shell out that sort of coin..

the car battery is brand new..

Sounds like the relay is being overloaded, getting hot, and turning off - after 10 or so minutes it cools down and back to normal.

Are they the same pumps as 3 years ago ?

New and bigger pumps could be drawing more current....

Sitting in the sun all day the car would get hot, but how can that change 10mins later when the car is still out in the sun and then it starts??

And yeah there the same pumps as from 3 yrs ago, so unless the wiring on the relay has all of a sudden gone to shit or alternatively the brant module has decided to shit itself..

Sitting in the sun wont warm up the relay like current running through it will.

I think what teejay is saying is, the amount of amps running through your relay whilst your car is running could be heating it up to X amount of degrees. When your car is turned off and let cool for 10 minutes (even in the sun) the relay is given time to atleast cool down a bit as amps do create a fair amount of heat. Sounds like it could be a go. Still reckon brant is to blame. Kill brant!

Yeh thats correct on small time frames.. but say i start the car go to work then 8hrs later come back to start the car, it wont start. So this theory wouldnt work, and seems to be the issue pointing to something else..

Sounds electrical somewhere .. Not to do with heat by the fact it happens even when everything is cool.

Something loose?

Drop it back to ASG and get a multimeter on it when it's doing it??

Sounds like a frustrating problem! I've had a similar problem before .. And it was Brandt also .. Car won't start, regardless of heat it would seem ..

Did it when the Brandt was disarmed, CEL off and pump primed .. turn key .. nothing but silence.

Tino, when the bug was cutting out when driving it, it would start straight away once turned on and off. They replaced the keypad module and all sorted, I had wondered if the Brandt was cutting fuel out when driving.... Maybe get a replacement fitted as a trial and if ok pay up and if no good put old one back in?
