You'd need a tarp just to cover your legs you tall bastard!

Looks porn Matt, would be a shame to strip the interior now that it has come so far. I would suggest you pick up a 2 door shell from JWS and slowly collect parts build it up to a dedicated track weapon. We know you're rich now 'Someone' on this forum will source all the good bits and sell them to you for a finders fee so you don't even have to do the leg work

Rich?! Bahahaha

I did consider a 2 door, or a $8000 99-00ish, freshen up the motor and be done with it. But my poor dato's just sitting wasting away. A lot of the work's been done, it'll be a whole lot cheaper to finish it, and have a bit of fun, rather than do another wrx.

It's not completely out of the question though

Update 25-3-10

Deadbolt TD06-20g and turbosmart 38mm external gate (from Chad -V3 RA's car) installed.
Minor modifications to the external gate location required, as the version 3 gearbox is a slightly different shape to my 99. So where Chad had it sitting on his car didn't fit on my car. Minor problem. A few new flanges and a bit of welding had it sorted.
Before we installed the turbo and gate we pressure tested the gate, and found it was fairly leaky... but decided to push on anyway, and kinda hoped it would fix itself... it didn't.
Got tuned today at ASG. There's a major wastegate vs. boost controller battle going on. EBC is working overtime to try and hold boost, but the wastgate keeps leaking it out the side pipe (which sounds awesome btw!)
To an extent, the boost controller finally wins the battle, and at just over 6500rpm it made 310.1hp and 347.1 torques (max torque at 6k) on 20psi.
Fingers crossed a new wastegate spring (or possibly diaphragm) will make boost come on sooner and stronger.
Until then, thumbs up from the bum dyno.

"Good-ish" stuff Matt!!... get that gate fixed ASAP!... have you got the boost graph from the same run... just to see how up and down it was?

Should be good for a bit more hp once thats fixed up...
