We didn't spend any time looking Daz. It's definately turbo/boost related. The curve wasn't as smooth, and you could just hear that something wasn't right. Unfortunately I had to come back up to work, so didn't get a chance to look into it further.

Can someone give me a "install cams" cost estimate? (for a EJ207)

Cams: $1000
Labour to install: ?????
Tuning: $500

Ive got a feeling its a 2k job to install them
plus tune and cams....
i remember looking at this and i think it was gonna cost around 4k, cause once you are at the cams, and have the head off, why dont you do a little bit of head work.... then the list just goes on.. haha

But yeh, whole engine has to come up...
as much as some people have said that it can be done with the engine still in. i dont think many places will be willing to do it this way...

Wouldn't you also have to pay for new buckets(or shims) to set the valve lash with new cams? Not sure how much a set of 16 would cost.

Cheers Jimmy. Here's a few. Finishing off a few bits in the interior and doing a bit of re-organising/tidying in the engine bay this week, then it'll be 99% finished and ready for some real photos.
Was an absolute blast driving it down south on the weekend!

Haha. After shitting my pants (literally - sorry about that :P ) in the back seat of the 'phoon on friday arvo, polishing my comparatively slow dak-dak was a great way to relax. It's not often she gets that kind of treatment, so I figured it was as good an excuse as any to take some photos.
