Update time.
It's in! not yet running, however, should be on Monday. We intended to start her up on Friday, but ran into an issue with my reconditioned alternator. The dodgy auto sparky destroyed a thread, so thought he could get away with soldering wires onto the bolt. Needless to say, the joint was horribly dry, and broke off when we were plugging it in. Anyhow... he admitted to damaging it and apologised for neglecting to tell me of his repair job, and is fixing it properly over the weekend. Aside from fitting the back seat, and a few other trimmings, the interior is completed.

Engine's in, and running. All was going very well... until this.
Run in tune went smoothly, no major hickups at all... until the engine heat-soaked. Now it's developed a miss-fire at almost exactly 2,500rpm, but only when the engine is hot. It's fine when it's cold, and even just cruising around with air flowing over the engine it doesn't misfire/skip/die in the arse at all. If you leave it to idle for a minute or two and let the temps get to 92-93%, it's guaranteed to misbehave. It's got me completely stumped. I've replaced: -Crank angle sensor -cam angle sensor -coil packs -AFM -leads Check earth. All ok. Also run extra earth. Mistertwo suggested water temp sensor. Which is a fair point. However, water temp displayed on the PFC hand controller remains steady when the misfire occurs. For water temp sensor to be faulting so dramatically that is causes such a major misfire, the signal being sent to PFC would have to noticably change (and be visible on the hand controller)when the misfire occurs. But it doesn't... EVERY signal back to the PFC remains steady (except rpm) when the miss happens. If i hold my throttle at 2500rpm it'll sit there steady until the thing heats up... then when it reaches 92+ degrees, and the engine is completely heat soaked, instantly it will start missing and hesitating. (It's not thermo fan related.) It's doing my head in! I've sourced a Power FC to borrow, to rule out mine being faulty. Any other thoughts?
