Why new fuel rails?

My thought on the E42.5 theory was to tune the car on a say 2/5th e85 3/5th u98 mix, then when you're doing dodgy fuel mixing in your garage at 50:50 it doesnt need to be as accurate

Dodgy mixing wont be an issue now that I've decided to buy 200L drums and run 100%.
However, at the end of the day, if for whatever reason, I'll have my U98 tune on laptop so I can just drain the tank and revert back to 98 when I need to.

Why fuel rails?
Simply because I have acquired 1000cc top feeds and fuel rails to suit for a very very good price.

Just read through this entire thread and wow is the first thing that springs to mind!! I've seen this car at a few cruises and was always interested as to the work done to it, so was great to read this 'ground-up' thread
Amazing amount of work done to it Matt, and although sound systems etc aren't my thing it's great to see you stick to your guns regarding the direction you wanted to take your car, always nice to see something different!
Love the paintwork, brakes/rims and also a big fan of the interior, your re-trimmed seats look hawt!!! An awesome all-round package especially since you upgraded turbo/cams etc, really nice streeter mate, just wish I had the cash (permission! ) to do the same!

Thanks mate, it's been an awesome journey. I can't believe it's been nearly 4yrs since I first stripped her down!

I guess i'll do a bit of an update for those that are interested.
E85 conversion hasn't happened. Basically because I bought a house, and took on a job in QLD (to pay for the house... which I'm subsequently never in) so haven't had the time or money to do it.
However, I've been driving it almost daily when I'm in Perth, so the body and interior is showing signs of wear and tear. As such, I've picked up a heap of interior parts from Patch, and am going to get it all alacatra'd, and change the colour of the rest of interior (except the leather parts. Seat, door inserts, roof etc).
I've also got a new front bar which I'm going to get resprayed, and most likely not hack up for the FMIC, but rather revert to topmount.
Ages ago (like years!) I had a detail and machine buffed by a 'friend of a friend' who did a damned good job of burning the shite out of the clearcoat, so the immacualte paintwork is now full of hazey swirl. In the coming months, along with getting a few other minor repairs done, I'll get Adz to do a complete high-end paint correction detail.
Mechanically (aside from the aforementioned TMIC mod, and fixing a few leaks etc) there's nothing major left to do. I do however want to get the rear brake kit to match the AP 6pots up front. Like these: http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/sale/480...raiser%85.html
I figured it was time for a change, and TJ was crying, so i swapped rims with him. Basically he wanted 8" wide, and I had the necessary mods to accommodate 8.5's. So we swapped with a few coins going his way. Everyone's happy. Win win.
Rims will probably go white soon enough.
The bolt on flares mentioned a page or so back is still on the cards.

Meh, what type of phaggot modifies a wagon.

Should be able to get a new bar and not have to do much to squeeze the fmic in?
