Hmmm...

Not worth the $500 for the White line kit fitted.

$310 for parts, $100 for labour and $90 for the four wheel alignment.

Doesn’t even say White line on the invoice and I expected my front end to not lift at all when under acceleration...
It does lift, maybe a TINY bit less than stock. NOT WORTH $500

And whatever they did during the service has caused it to hesitate a second before the needle jumps, I can also hear this new squeal when in neutral and I tap the accelerator. Only for a split second then it’s normal...
That and when the air con/fans on I get this horrid smell of coolant coming in as if they have spilt coolant all over the engine bay and not washed it off.

So I'm a bit unhappy..

I'm going to call them tomorrow and see what they say.

Has something broken since last night or have your perceptions changed?
Not having a go, you just seemed pretty happy last night - maybe something has come loose underneath?

Anti lift kit DOES NOT reduce acceleration squat / nose lift!

It changes the dynamic caster and camber of the front suspension and helps to reduce understeer / inside front tyre lift...hence 'anti-lift'.

Thats exactly what I suspected. ( Ive been using the search ) and a few people have had problems with them not getting done up tight enough.

Its was really only noticable today during the day light when you look out over the front of the car. I'm just a little shocked at the launch still resulting in well.. ANY lift at the front end..

Ive also go Pedders Sports Ryder Suspension on it. Less than 30'000kms old.

bingo. the correct name for an anti lift kit is steering response system. the small amount of "anti lift" it does provide is a small side benefit - but not the aim of the kit. so your car should handle better and as you correctly say, have a tiny bit less lift under accelaration.

Its a good upgrade I just suspect it needs tightening maybe?

I asked the sales guy what he recomended to reduce the front end lifting under heavy driving / boost kicking in and this is what he advised me to get.

Hmm so Ive been given a $500 kit that does not really do what I asked.. Im going to keep it.. god knows I dont want it changed back and the cornering is better but I'm a little off put that he sold it to me on the fact that I wanted to stop the front end lifting up.

Sorry guys Im not a newbie to import cars I'm just getting my head done in on this lift kit and what it REALLY does.

I still think its changed since last night when I drove it home..

Don't want the front to lift?

Get rid of the shithouse pedders and fit a decent strut/spring combo (my fav are the spec c / tuned by arai).

Side effect is your boobs will jiggle more when you drive... (or is that just me )

Wheels world in Osborne park are the people to see.

Do sway bars next if you haven't already, you won't stop grinning at the difference they make
