They can be sold on behalf of a private vendor or yard but the vast majority are insurance write offs.........Pickles/Fowles take a cut & the seller takes the rest, generally they know roughly what a car will go for & it may be passed in 4 or 5 times then they let it go for whatever they can get because holding fee's etc probably start to cost more than the seller will make, it's a lottery, some go stupidly cheap others more than they are worth in a yard in ok condition.

The car referred to in the first post went under the hammer today at Fowles for $15700 I believe. Friends of mine that inspected it said it wasn't repairable, should have been a stat but wasn't. Firewall was bent, ECU was in the transmission tunnel, wiring loom severed. Pictures often hide all kinds of nasties that are only evident on inspection.

From whats been mentioned above, You would need specialised equipment to even contemplate repairing this vehicle (car alignment machine or a set of pots and hydrolic jacks); doubt that this is destined back for the road.

Unfortunately it isn't an original idea so can't take credit. The Green one that gets down the plex occasionally is just awesome.

Have seen a white one to but think that was running everything that went in fairly stock. Got to ask yourself though how much lighter is a brumby than an STi. Got to be a great Power to weight ratio
