Where did I say to let the car stall? There is plenty of time for the car to cool down while the pad is beeping before it stalls.

You would have to be constantly on boost (like on the track but even on the track you'd have a cool down period not just to cool down the engine but the rest of the car) to have to leave the car running idle for an extended period.

But its your call on it at the end of the day. I've got an apexi one installed but not used it. I think i use it more for the battery level and AFR (not accurate) than the timer function. I also drive like a granny so that helps

You can calibrate the Apexi unit to be accurate for narrow band AFR's....It will even work with a wide band controller like a Tech edge unit.

water cooled turbos dont need turbo timers, its why the the header filler is above the turbo for convection.

I obviously didn't understand what you were trying to convey. Because the thread was about turbo timers, I was of the mindset of automated/timed shut downs. I didn't think of you using the anti-hijack as just a time marker.

This is also what I do,
as soon as you hear the beep beep 30-40sec turn car off..

I have an apexi unit as well, would be keen on getting the a/f to read correctly too

If you needed one, it would come from factory.

The Subaru engineers have designed the car not to need one. In fact they will be designing them to have some 17 year old kid driving the thing on the limiter for a whole tank of fuel.

If you read the manual, it says just to drive sedately for the last couple of minutes, if you have been thrashing the car. This is more than adequate.
