With all this money in the engine why not get a decent ECu to run the thing? I mean, its the brains behind the entire function, which you dont want to fail again.

Car sounds like its going to be pretty mad!

6 speeds, um, try and find a taller ratio one, I think the forrester 6 speeds?

DCCD, yes you want this but not sure if you will be able to got the auto DCCD option as it requires a whole range of sensors to go with it, not a simple job. You can get a manual DCCD though which is almost as good, I had this in my 01 WRX and could adjust from 50/50 to about 80% rear over about 8 or 10 increments? These are alot simpler to install/basic to operate as there is no "auto" function.

Allow 5k I spose for all the kit and installation, um have you allowed for an uprated 6 speed clutch/flywheel? You will want something pretty strong. Allow another 2-3K for a good setup, or could just go the stock 6 speed one I guess?

Stock ECU will still be well up to the task I would say man... Only reason I'd be going aftermarket would be for extra functions...

Don't mind the Ecutek, I've got all these other extras going in

Rotational idle
Synchronize downshifts
And steve was talking about possibly a dual mode, everyday driving and race mode

I'm getting wet

On another topic, need at least 10 more guys to come
Down for my birthday at the track, come on people, help a brother out

There is nothing wrong with the stock ECU up to a point. When you start bolting on turbos that will max out the MAF sensor on a 70+mm CAI then you should probably start to think about a MAP/speed density based ECU. Speed density is not available with open source tuning, but might be available in Ecutek software. It would be worth checking if Ecutek can do it otherwise you'll be restricted to low boost.

Yeah, I was considering a motec, buy would rather not spend anymore than I have, Steve reckons the Ecutek will be fine for everything, but I guess we will find out next week when she goes on the dyno, even then can't push the car to the limits cause it's a brand new bottom end
