But if you modify it, you will definitely void warranty on that part.
As opposed to a 66 000km part which is being denied warranty anyhow.

The clutch pedal in our 09 makes a "click" noise when its depressed.. I'm thinking it may be a similar issue.

I'll be taking it in for warranty, its not reasonable that a 2 year old car has a worn out clutch pedal let alone a 3 year old car as per your situation!

Just did a quick search on Google.. there are heaps of people in the USA with clicking and creaking clutch pedals in their 08+ WRX/STi's.. everything from broken welds requiring dash removal to rectify, to master cylinder replacements, to get the problem to stop.

creaking can be lack of lubrication on the shaft that the release bearing runs along.
requires box removal, lube, and re fit

I just checked mine and like Mitch's, it too squeeks like a raped mouse.
I wonder how hard it will be to convince Subaru to do the above "under warranty". I bet they will tellme that it's not covered under my extended, Subaru Assured warranty too...

My car is booked in for a 50k service at STechnic in a few weeks. Might pm Dougie and see how much he will charge to do it.
