4 hours, Shit I drastically underquoted it then?

I keep the top pivot bushes in stock as they occasionally wear out on high km cars as the pivot is moving through a lot more rotation than the pushrod. The pushrod clevis hole has no replacable parts other than a complete pedal, it wouldn't change more than a degree of so over the entire stroke of the clutch though.

I have a theory as to why it wore out prematurely and it's not because the clutch is heavy.

Not driving style.

The pedal height is adjustable via the stopper or cruise control switch if fitted.
The pushrod length is also adjustable, but does not normally require periodic maintenance. If there was a discrpancy beween the pushrod length and the stopper/switch position there could have been excessive 'freeplay' before anything started to wear. There needs to be a small amount of freeplay for the master cyinder to function but if it was excessive the 'hammer' action each time the clutch was operated will increase the wear rate on the clevis pin hole. As it wears, the hammer action becomes more and more increased. There would have been a rapid decline leading up to when I inspected it as there was a good 5mm or more of slop in the clevis pin hole.

To put it in plain language, imagine you're pushing a nail in with a hammer without lifting it off the nail head, then hammering the nail by lifting the hammer 1mm off the nail head each blow, then lift it 10mm, then 50mm....etc.

Did you realise that the 19lb of boost that you pumped into your 2.5L with the chiptorque ezy-flash was going to shit your block over time?

Same engine, just different turbo, no? I'm led to believe that the 2.5 internals don't like increased boost, 'tis all. Anyhow yes, off track. Carry on :P

Disapointing that Subaru dropped the ball and have lost a customer over a few hundred dollar repair.

We prefer not to service them. We're not intimately familiar with all their quirks and don't stock any parts. Happy to do your brakes etc or suspension upgrade with non genuine parts though.
