Mitch - do a bit of a Google, but be prepared to brown your pants a little until such time as you get a verdict

Just a bit of FYI

Blue smoke = oil
Black smoke = fuel
White smoke = water

Common causes of white smoke:
- Issues with turbo, getting water into intake
- Blown/leaking head gasket, getting water into cylinders
- Corrosion in heads, again getting water into cylinders

So in short, no it is not oil and wouldn't have anything to do with the oil change. However, it is an issue and still worth having it looked at.

Very often white and blue smoke are confused for each other.

its not the smoke from your birthday candles mutch

Yup!

Get out and smell the vapours! If its oil.. it will DEFINITELY smell like burning oil! If not, then coolant/water.

Thanks everybody for the comments. Sorry if it seems like a stupid thing to ask, but I really have NO idea about this stuff and even some suggestions will help. Looks like S-Technic next week some time as I don't have time to take it in today, and they are closed over the weekend. Just started it up then to check for smoke and there was none, so it seems it's on cold startup only. (Drove to Wangara and back earlier on.)
