some people tend to think "geez i've blown my my97 gearbox, oh here's a jdm my97 sti box, that'll bolt right in" & therein lies the problem

worth checking anyway

Got the same problem. Only clunks under loads.
I will be changing out my rear diff as it appears to have too much play in the axle.

If you fix it first let me know. This thin has been killing me
