Ahhhh yes! My friend tells me its a backfire and WRX's are infamously known for them :]
glad to know that its just a perk of having these type of cars and not an issue haha. Thanks to all who have contributed.

if you like the sound of this pop, buy an ecu and enable anti lag so you can smash it out at meet points and then run a 10 sec quarter mile
