The issue is that the injectors are running a pretty high duty cycle at that level (95%+). You can do it, but be aware they are running pretty close to their limit - IMO it would be smart to have a safety margin. And if you are upping to a 20G, 300hp would be the minimum you'd aim for given you can pull that with a VF52.

yeah, would go for much more than that imo. built engine should be able to make it to around 400hp with that turbo. seen it done. (462awhp to be precise)
That's with E85 though... Not sure what 98RON would be able to do.

Fuel pump and injectors should be high on your list and you can source both for sub 500 if you go second hand for the injectors. Russgt is selling some sard 650's that might suit your application.

Stock injector is 565, if you are upgrading you may as well go 800+

Im currently running 1000's in mine.

PWRX Club members and APCV have just assembled a 257 for my mate Peter in the ACT.

The motor is a STI 257 with nitrated crank & CP pistons, stock 257 con rods, metal head gaskets. We have used the AVCS cams ( deleted external oil feed to pulleys ) and fitted bug eye cam wheels. I fabricated a cam angle sensor off the AVCS solenoid metal plate and measured the air gap to insure the pick up was correctly positioned. I also machined the throttle body out replicating the angle but removing a large quantity of material. The Vipec is still running a ICV on his current motor.

The turbo is currently in the air and will have some feed back in the coming weeks what it turns over on the dyno.
Big thanks to Matt at Auto pro Canning Vale for arranging the gasket kits bearings ect

462awhp with a TD05-20G? Really?

With a built motor and..., E85, what type of intercooler?, ecu?, full 3in I imagine, hi-flowed injectors, larger fuel pump, extractors (coated), CAI and inlet pipe..I'd believe that figure.

With your existing mods you will be lucky to see 300hp atw with that turbo. But, it will be safe and reliable.

To be honest, I'm expecting ~350awhp with my set-up on E85 (VF52, 3" TBE, EL headers, 1000cc injectors, PW TMIC).

I dont think 400+ would be ridiculous with a TD05-20G (probably 10cm hotside rather than 8cm?) and similar mods on E85. But you'd need to run a built engine and push +20psi to get the full benifits of the bigger turbo IMO, plus live with a laggier engine (although E85 should help out somewhat).....

There is no way i would run that turbo with my current mods haha. I'm more thinking along the lines of in a few years time, instead of buying a new car, put a cosworth long block 2.6L stroker engine in with all supports. If you're going to upgrade, might as well go hard. Imagining it would cost at least $20-25k though. Has anyone on here had anything like that done?

As much as it pains me to say it..... Sell WRX. Buy Evo X
Spend 10K on some small engine Mods and good exhaust/tune
Profit?
Seriously the power these things put from minimal effort is just ridiculous...

At least then your car is worth what you have put into it, rather than a $30K car with 30K worth of mods which is worth $35 - $40K max

Remember the Blue 2010 WRX jam packed worth of Cosworth goodie owned by Rick?? Is that what you are looking at doing? (besides all the gay cosmetic/sound system crap he did)
