The Dominator turbos are made by Blouch.. these are either XT or XTR. (R) meaning Ball Bearing and all Billet wheels.

The 1.5 and 2.5 is a Garrett GT3071 CORE ONLY with custom Billet wheel and custom rear housing .. the 1.5 uses a smaller rear turbine wheel.
The 3.0 is a GT3076 CORE ONLY with custom Billet Wheel and Custom rear housing
The 3.5 is the same turno with bigger rear turbine wheel..

The HKS and Trust etc are pretty old tech and dont perform as well as Billet turbos.
BBK turbos were made by Blouch to CBRD specs.
But prices got to much for the range of BBK and now Blouch make the Turbos for us. Now known as the RBK

all the Dom/RBK turbos are all made in USA.

Ok,

so Dominator turbos....made by blouch, sold as Blouch.
BBK were made by Blouch to CBRD specs, sold as CBRD turbos?
BBK still made by Blouch, sold as BBK turbos?
Blouch and RBK are the same or both just from USA?
Who makes RBK?

So we have Blouch, BBK, RBK and CBRD turbos on the market.

Im just trying to get my head around it, I maybe in the market for a new turbo and like doing it right the first time. :-) Im still running a single scroll (the horror!! hahaha)

CBRD turbos were made specially for Aus market.. time we paid their fees and more shipping the costs of turbos went through the roof.. Hence we are getting Blouch to make them for us but with a RED WHEEL.. Thats all.. nothing else has changed in the way of these turbos. Only a red wheel and only for Australian market

CBRD/BBK turbos are now only EVO Turbos

Ok, so if I wanted a turbo for a single scrolled sti, I can now only get blouch ones (with red wheels) from the group? Because CBRD/BBK are only for evo's?

What are the ones Michael South bangs on about? Are they available for sti's?

the ones MSR raves about are the Blouch range ... Dont get confused..

BBK CBRD who is made by Blouch.
RBK is PSR who is made by Blouch..

Both the RBK and BBK are made specially for me (Pro Speed)
All it is, is a name change.

if you like give me a call on 0418436861 and ill be happy to go through options with you and work out what will suit your needs.

Blouch have turbos from 300hp all the way upto 650hp...
so there is PLENTY of turbos for you to choose.

Plus as i mentioned all turbos in Aus are same price as USA plus GST. But you get Porting (porting is usually $100-150) and Free Blouch Jumper.

My needs are a bit more power and torque in exchange for losing some low down response.

Current setup is a ADM EJ207 (05 sti) with a pro speed CAI connected to a Forced Performance 18GSL2 turbo (TD05-18G with an SL2 wheel I think?) 8cm, ported (whatever all that means, Ive forgotten, to do with exhaust housing...?)

This is connected to some equal length coated and wrapped perrin headers and to a 3in dumppipe and trust 3in exhaust. Ive de-capped the sti injectors and upgraded my fuel pump by fitting a Spec C in-tank anti-surge thingy and sti fuel pump. A M800 PnP controls it all.

The TMIC is OEM.

When this was all fitted (2008) it dynoed 300hp/417Nm at the hubs @ allstar. It runs a bit rich and over the years its dropped about 10hp I suppose?

Ive since read that the turbo I have, the FP18GSL2 was a bit of a dud and has had some failures, mine is fine but hasnt really been pushed and car has only done 30,000kms in 4 yrs.

So, what turbo would possibly suit me? For a bit more hp/Nm

Btw, I do appreciate the feedback your providing, I genuinely am a bit out of date with the scene. :-)
