The way I would go about this is to leave Cosworthtax out of the list, they brake & wear just like other quality components.

257 cases ( or short block new in box with non heat treated crank )
257 non heat treated crank > send to Tony knight at Knight racing motors and get re oil phased.
Heads sent to Tony and ported with 1mm larger valves, HD valve springs & retainers

Quality pistons & rings ( will find post on what rings are used )
Quality con rods & quality rod bolts
Torque plate honed block
ACL race bearings
Number 11 oil pump, ported by Tony & PRV set correctly
ARP casing studs
ARP head studs
Killabee Larger sump, baffle plate , oil pick up
metal head gaskets

Saw the sti today and looks like the engine is being pulled out. Will be a good combo for daily driving, at least better than factory spec.

Went in with my brother today, nearly ready for the first start up. Surge tank and the rest of the fuel system all done and a lot more. Just a bit more to go with plumbing of the IC to the turbo. Also wastegate, screamer pipe and a bit of exhaust modifications than the vipec and run in it is.

If yours is ready at the same time, run in cruise is on then.
Good times ahead that's for sure

Curious, was your car not still in warranty? I thought the '08's had a 5 year warranty

When i called Subaru at the time it was expired. I believe they said expired September 2011
