Thanks for the link but that is only an ignition interrupt. As they say in the video...why turn it into a two stage process when one would do.

A friend has a focus RS and they come with the same system as I am considering. The key never leaves your pocket...unless you want to block your bonnet...

Lol @ retrofitting this for $500. If that was the case, I'm sure Subaru Australia would like to hire you to supply it as a factory option for cars.

The only option for a Subaru is the one previously presented which is a waste of time in a road going car with immobilisers. On a 'Spec C' that is track orientated as you have mentioned, it is the same system but without the need for a key - same as every other race car out there.

I had a Mondeo turbo with a push start button like in the RS and the key never left my pocket. My parents have a Lexus and they have a push button only. I would be happy for it again.

New Liberty GT's and 3.6L, plus Outback 3.6 and the BRZ all have push button start.
So plenty of ADM Subaru's come with the system.
It is not as simple as it looks.
There are three control modules, the electronic steering lock, the three antenna's, both front door handles. Plus the additional wiring and relays. Then you need to buy the key as well.
But it does allow the car to auto unlock when you place you hand on the front door handles or tailgate handle/button.
And the key stays in your pocket.
Putting it in a car that deosn't have it standard? Ridiculously expensive and probably not possible.

Don't let us put you off though. Spend thousands of dollars on a button but only $400 on a top mount, seems logical

Thanks John. Much more informative and helpful than some. I am sure glad that we are all here on this forum to share our passion for Subarus. Otherwise I may have to be rude like some childish users.

just like in that movie "fast and furious" when he flicked the NOS switch...very cool and will get you laid very often IMO!

Good luck with it!
