yeah i don't disagree with you tj, i just think that the 177hp power run was done with the stock boost control solenoid connected & the power fc was sending signals to it thinking it was a mac 3port, hence no boost, hence shit power run, hence logical explanation for this debarckle

Yeah and I agree with that totally.

Giving that experience workshops would not fit a bleed the wrong way (generally), it does imply third hands at work.

AFM error showed up on the initial diagnostics. So we just replaced it.

The initial power run was performed with the car totally untouched, other than the AFM that was replaced and Power FC plugged back in.

Further on, when the retune was done, we couldnt control boost and Warick found the restrictor in the T, placed in the wrong direction as well. Obviously, this was removed, before proceeding with the tune.

I asked Rhys and he mentioned that the CEL light was always on when the stock ecu was replaced. That's why I asked why the AFM was not replaced in the first place.

Addtional info, the car was not making any boost with the CEL on and I was curious why Rhys was given the vehicle that way. Not sure of any other factors in between.

so.....

when you put the power fc back in there mao, did you reconnect the 3port boost solenoid also or just leave the stock solenoid connected? we all know they have different operating duty cycles so if the power fc thought its running a 3 port when its actually running a stock solenoid it would not be controlling the boost properly

this is the only logical explanation & hardly fair to call out another workshop saying that this was thier tune & done with a dodgy afm

MAC valve was previously already installed when Rhys brought it in.

So Mao, you still believe that ASG tuned Ricemans car "with a faulty AFM", and with the boost pill the wrong way around (even though there is no boost pill when you use a 3 port boost controller). Wow you really must be dumb. How could they get 240hp on their dyno?

Im not saying you did anything wrong other that spout crap about ASG. They wouldnt and couldnt tune a car with a faulty AFM or the boost pill around the wrong way.

I believe Riceman rooted the car when trying to fix it and then took it to you saying ASG did it.
