The only time i have touched the car is to remove the immobilizer myself as i know about electrical wiring as i used to work in car audio.

In terms of the mac solenoid or restricitor pills or whatever i have no idea. hence why asg installed this for me when they also installed the power fc and initial tune. I have a receipt showing this in my car. Just cbf scanning onto the pc.

I picked the car up from asg on the 5th with running on the stock ecu, with the cel on. And it wouldnt hit boost at all.

I then started this thread to see if anybody had any ideas, To which mao pm'd me saying he could have a look at it straight away. I took the car into evo R the next day.

I never touched the solenoid as i have no idea how it works or what it even does. I was just told that i needed it before i got my car tuned to run more boost.

If i had played with it and fucked it up myself, i obviously wouldn't have asked for a refund.

Mao has offered me my next service for free, which has made me happier. I am happy to take my car back their as they are the ones that fixed it up and is now running better, smoother and faster than ever before (even when it was running for four days after the asg tune)

I'm not going to comment on this thread anymore as no matter what, everybody is different, we have all had different experience with the named workshops and at the end of the day people are going to believe what they want to believe and me commenting the facts of what actually happenned is not going to change that.

Are you the official ASG spokesman

What about the comment made by ASG (As below) that EvoR changes the boost levels to show a different tune!!

3 - Looking at your 177hp curve I would guess that it has been run up with the boost turned down to give a low power/torque figure. This is typical of evolution R but not very smart as obviously we have records of the last run done on our dyno. The curve is unusually smooth for a car tuned with a faulty AFM. If we tuned it with a faulty AFM it would be so rich or lean it wouldn't rev with new AFM. It would be interesting to see the boost/AFR power curve of the "177hp" run.

In my opinion both the derogatory comments should cancel each other out, everyone should kiss and make up, and lock this thread

Wait, you've already told us you picked up the car and it was running for 4 days, with the powerfc and asg showed us the 240hp dyno plot, before dying. Then you towed it to asg, then went on holidays...

You really need to get your own facts right... You're just contradicting yourself

Fuck an engineering degree, I'm going to get my sister to analyze this... She's got a forensics degree

I'm still trying to figure out why you were boosting it with an obvious problem (cel light ) that's really the last thing you should be Doing when there's a problem
