Farrrrk, just sell it and go buy a pretty shiny one if you're so upset and concerned about it...

I don't know exactly why Norm's exhausts are so amazing.. but I heard these FACTS about norm Butler.

Norm Butler threw a grenade and killed 50 people, then it exploded
Norm Butler has a diary. It's called the Guinness Book of World Records
When Norm Butler was born he drove his mom home from the hospital
When Norm Butler was in middle school, his English teacher assigned an essay: "What is courage?" He received an A+ for turning in a blank page with only his name at the top
Death once had a near-Norm Butler experience.
Norm Butler was once on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune and was the first to spin. The next 29 minutes of the show consisted of everyone standing around awkwardly, waiting for the wheel to stop
There is no theory of evolution, just a list of creatures Norm Butler allows to live.

I wasn't going to bring that up, ...as each man stands alone and only the weak lay blame on another for his own poor decisions...

A butler tbe was bought and fitted unseen, on a forester, based solely on reputation.

More so....based mostly on the positive comments of forum users....and with all respect Dave your recommendations played a large role...

But like I said no blame what so ever

Now the tbe contributed to good gains.

But it was fekkin loud and was like sitting inside a blackhawk...you could actually feel the percussion...but that's common to 3' tbe's in general....from what I hear.. Noise is also very subjective....

So no problem there....

Edited - due to pointless repetition

XT43...please note I use the term "apparent or seemingly" ...as in it appears to me to be ...

Edit...I am not claiming anything about these systems, other than that I would expect a higher level of attention to detail.and questioning if this is something overlooked by norms fanbois.....nothing more really...

Edit ....mitchwnz....funny shit..

Most of us haven't had our exhausts off or taken photos of the dump pipe prior to installation so it's a tough question to answer...

Regarding the marks you're seeing where the dump pipe mates up to the turbo - is it possible that they could be caused by a shitty gasket or shitty application of that sealant gunk some people use on exhausts? eg. sitting uneven

I'm not an engineer or an exhaust fabricator so my line of thinking here could be way off the mark but with the amount of vibration and movement happening, surely over time the stainless is going to degrade and show some signs of wear over time?

Yes. Stainless will also oxidize over time given the presence of the exhaust gases.

Trolley and Saint,,,yeh thanks I wasn't aware of those factors...

However it was on for only about 5000Km's.

Trolley you hit a point I was trying to make that most folks haven't inspected their systems..

..and shit when it come down to it, if you drop 2-2.5k on an exhaust most folks are going to say it is the source of all Jedi power..

Jdm style....can you please pm me that insight later....just so I don't forget...cheers.

..as I mentioned before just trying to get answers and opinions to my questions...

So in the absence of any other input...I'm off to dremel the shit outa my dump pipe...

A quick search on the interwebs found this below on Rexnet, so helps it answer your question about other ones.
