seeking help:installed timing belt and covers - now misfiring?
Hi all,
I need some advice, I have so many different ideas going through my head right now, I need some expert opinion. Yesterday and today, We replaced the timing belt and covers and now the car misfires and inst drivable..idles perfect thought.. Basically, a huge misfire/backfire on acceleration somewhere between 1500 and 4000.. The engine is a 2.1 stroker with jun 272 cams + Jun cam gears and has been tuned and running for about 5000kms. The cam gears have been adjusted, i wonder if we need to reset that before trying to install the timing belt? Then set the cam gears again?? Will this affect the tune again if we set it like not 100% as it was before.. Also, since there was no covers around the cam sensors and now they're fully covers, I wonder if this could affect the tune? Frustrated user right now.. like i said, please any advice would be appreciated. Regards, David |
