Starting to dig out parts from the various places that they have been stored.

Hello clutch and CrMo flywheel. Should add a bit of character to the drive.

Got the turbo in today and it looks great. Can't fault the packaging nor lines, studs, etc. all there including gaskets and a couple of actuator spring options should I decide to stretch some head studs.

What made you choose the Mamba turbo? Never heard of them.

Mamba are new company set up by the Japanese head engineer that set up Kinugawa before he sold it about 12 months ago . He has developed all the turbos using Genuine Garret or brand name cores with his own billet wheels and housings . The housings ,wheels, fittings and actuators are made to a tightly controlled standard in Taiwan . He had gone out of his way for me several times when ordering from him and has a good grasp of english .

He Has just spent a packet on the new factory buying the best german CNC and balancing machines etc . Email him and have a chat nice bloke . Havent had an issue with him

I agree that Eiji was a champion to deal with. Very pleasant and prompt.

As for why I chose the Mamba... Loved the apparent quality, specs and the fact that they are dual ceramic ball bearing using the same spec bearing as Borg Warner EFR.

I am hoping that it will still have enough torque to be able to pull slowly in traffic but at the end of the day, I used to have an old 911 that had a very light flywheel and internals. Once you get used to it it is quite easy and just adds to the character of the drive.
