A good tune will always cost you $.
A car will look the same from the exterior or the badge, but at the end of the day, even with similar mods, it may react differently to those mods. So the variables to make the tune ideal and street friendly and more importantly safe will take time.

There is no quick fix when it comes down to an ECU. The ECU is the brain for the car's fueling, timing, ignition, etc. Its not something you can just pull out a generic map and apply it to the same mods over and over again. There are always some variables that will sit outside of the threshold.

I think for guys that spend 1000's of $ on mods and the car only to skimp on tuning cost (and ECU upgrade) is silly. Sure, a fullah sik 1000HP turbo and whining gearbox sounds great to all your mates, but without a decent tune, means its just a wasted investment

It is possible to get very, very impressive gains out of a STi.

02 STi with CAI + TBE

I am concerned about potential/actual/perceived conflicts of interest associated with members providing comments about the Verso product without disclosing their particular involvement with the product. If you have an actual interest then please disclose it (& take it to the workshop/commercial thread) so that newbies can decide for themselves whether posters are actually contributing to the PWRX community independantly or pushing their own interests.

There are three people who have an involvement with Verso...and that is Pete, Ryan and Darren.

EVERYONE else is talking from experience, or from what they've seen, including myself.

Not everyone here knows that Pete is "Intra", Darren is "Darren" & Ryan is "??" - they should come clean and disclose their interest so that people can know who's who.

At least when Alex "Getagrip" and Rob "Prototype" post, then have their business/commercial links in their signature.

Well I was just clarifying that Ryan isnt on this forum, because you didnt know who he was.

In all honesty, I dont really care...its not my product, and I gain no benefit from posting about it, as does no one else here.

Pete, Ryan and Darren, I'm sure, wont make any business from talking about the product on a forum themselves. The proof is in other peoples results, and thats where the Verso is different, and the reason I believe its going to be so successful.

Why do I push the product so much? Because I've been there, done that with ECUs, and finally a product comes along that actually has excellent features, hardly any disadvantages, and an excellent price...with LOCAL support! I've seen the results for myself, and how good would it be if every n00b that came on here made the right choice the first time instead of posting up the same damn thread a million times "What ECU should I get? Why is my car running like shit? Why doesnt my Link idle? Can I get ECUTek for my MY94 WRX??"
