There seems to be a few further misconceptions here:

An officer's job is to remain calm and objective while upholding the law, they are trained for this- and 99% of them do an absolutely incredible job day in, day out. You really think some dumb-ass dude in a sports car should ruffle your feathers after you've been shot at 5 times for example??! Again, if a cop starts using the 'justifications' you've just gone and described above for their inappropriate actions I'd say they've taken it way too personal, forgotten their training, and/or possibly not the right type of personality for the job!

If a p plater receives an infringement for careless driving or as its worded on the ticket "drive without due care and attention", once that ticket is paid, the p plater will lose their mdl for 3 months.

and as of today, any soccer mum that thinks a loud car is a fast car can dob you in and you can be fined based on their witness statement
because every driver on the road is specially trained to spot hoons!

Get a good lawyer, the government spends millions thinking of ways to catch u out for sneezing, but it has to be proven, so get a good lawyer and expand on your rights.

Had the same here. Followed me a fair way up Canning Hwy then only when i'd pulled into my driveway did they decide it'd be a good idea to pull in behind me with sirens and lights blazing......at 3am!!!! Fuck sticks woke my whole family and im sure the rest of the neighbourhood. All for a RBT.

Pity no-one seems to have a remote garage door! Could've just wheeled straight in and leave them holding their balls. But seriously, if they had been following someone for that long they could have gotten your details and known where you live anyway. Do police have a certain quota of RBT's they have to do each shift before they can knock off or something? Not saying it's a bad thing as I would rather have every drink driver taken off the street, but surely there are other things they can be doing rather than follow some random car for 20 minutes.

I dont quite understand why they started following me in the first place. At most i was doing 10kms over the limit, not driving erraticly or running lights AND at that time i was driving a '86 Merc 230E, old man car if ive ever come across one, so its not like they thought i was a young upstart ready to go for a hoon.
