Yeah funny how a lot of sales taxes went down when the GST came in. Oh wait, thats only because people are now aware of the taxes they are paying at the time of sale. Before when they were hidden in the cost and was not separated on your bill, people 'never' paid taxes.

No its definitley a bad thing, we would rather pay 20% tax on milk but 3% on caviar good times.

Hell Rudd couldn't remember being at the strippers - yet he can recall everything that Howard has said. Funny that.

Also, since Rudd's wife is a millionaire businesswoman, I doubt any of his 'changes' will be pro working person and anti business once finally elected in.

Yeah I tend to agree with that, most of labors policies are the same as liberals (91.5% to be exact ). Neither are ideal options. I personally think that because Costello will be PM he should be the one running.

Yup, doubt there ever will be a perfect candidate (unless Bill Clinton come to Australia, something about cigars, saxophones and women that would make me vote for him... )

As for Costello being PM, still have to wait and see what happens there. Howard will be PM when people vote in. It is not guaranteed that Costello will get the job after Howard, despite what they are saying.

On the same same, Rudd could be kicked out if there is a leadership challenge. So neither potential PM is guaranteed.
