You would need to have a group weigh in on a scale and then weigh in again on that scale in like 3 months time.

Easy to see difference in pics but in terms of weight loss? Everybody has differing BMI due to muscle Vs Fat. You could have a person that is short and bulky with only 9.5% body fat but still looks big.

Turn all the fat into muscle.
Thats what i'm doing
5 times a week at gym for 90 minutes or more doing situps pushups weights benchpress the works. Also i eat healthy and walk the dog...had a steady weight of 85 kg's (6'2 in height) for approximately 2 years. Wouldn't mind dropping 5kg's though!

10 min warm up plyometric stretches i.e bum flicks, high knees etc then static stretch calves, hamstrings etc There's a good chance it could be your running shoes. I used to have Nike runners with full air soles that caused shin splints, as soon as I changed to Asics Gel I was ok. So maybe go to a podiatrist or even athletes foot so they can assess your foot strike.

True about the intervals (ie; sprint then walk sprint then walk etc)... you do lose more, well women do, not so sure about men.

As far as shoes go. Asics have dominant market share amongst triathletes with the Gel Kayano. So do the maths yourself, they are the best.

2004 Australian Ironman Triathlon
Shoe Count (first 1,000 finishers) 2002(%) 2003(%) 2004(%)
ASICS 61.2 62.6 60.8
BROOKS 13.0 14.5 15.3
NIKE 6.4 6.4 6.9
NEW BALANCE 7.0 6.0 4.3
ADIDAS 3.0 3.7 4.5
MIZUNO 5.3 3.2 3.4
SAUCONY 2.6 1.6 2.8
REEBOK 0.9 0.8 1.0
FILA 0.2 0.7 0.3
PUMA 0.3 0.2 0.3
PEARL IZUMI 0.0 0.0 0.2
OTHERS 0.1 0.3 0.2
