I know it would probably push ticket prices up, but there should be 2 guards in every carriage, no excuses. Would soon stop the problems.

Yep sure would, it's weird i feel safer in a foreign country 11pm at night on the mono rail, but those countrys people get there hands chopped off for stealing so crime is almost not there.

I dont think there needs to be that many guards, but at least 3 guards per train and couple at each station, and car parks should be bright and cctv and attendant.

but this all costs money and isnt going to happen,

I dont have a reason to need public transport, but if i did I would for sure find alternate arangments.

But every body is different and feels different ways. I hear a lot more storys of what happens than whats shown on the news so i guess this sways my views.
I catch the trai n everyday, dont consider myself a dead beat or feral, but im not paranoid about everyone around me either

haha well i did say a fair percentage not every one

thats true everything feels different about it, sometimes people can be very relaxed and carefree. Some people my self being one of them are just a bit more paranoid probably to much for my own good,

I feel a lot safer here.... in/on public transport, taxis etc, then I did/do as a military member in the middle east, and parts of SE Asia. (I'm assuming you were alluding to Singers in your post about the mono-rail... nice place ),

I also think the system (pubic transport / security) could be improved, but as Tim said, its all money. And often the bean counters are loathe to spend it.

I have caught the train a number of times, from various lines, and do agree, you see all sorts of the community on them. But thankfully, like in the middle east, it's the 5-10pc of extremists that scare me the most, not the majority.

Brent.

I was refering to Kuala Lumpur, I cant comment for other places as i havnt been there. Maybe I felt safe Becuase I have no knowlage of what happens there like i know here.

But your right it is only a small percentage, I guess it is just bad luck for the people who are the small percentage.

Bit like all the car jackings that have been happening lately as well, they are a bit of a worry, but we always think isnt going to happen to me.
