Its so so sad. Im studying to be a Youth counselor and oh my gosh you have no idea how some of the scariest people on earth start out there lives as.

but i believe if the schools payed more attention to kids in need, and addressed, violent or social awkward kids while they were young, then we wouldn't have so much drama.

I've worked in some schools in pretty rough areas, some of the things these kids put up with on a daily basis is shocking. There's not much the government workers including teachers can do.

Some of these kids visit relatives in prison once every few weeks, for them prison isn't the same scary place that other kids think it is. Given the lives these kids have, not being a minority, having 3 square meals, a safe place to sleep and free dentist isn't so bad. Chatting to the indigenous kids none of those guys want to go to prison but it's not the same deterrent as it is to a white middle class kid.
