Plenty of us manage to have full licenses, so smarten up your driving.

Also Perth-WRX doesn't condone breaking the law, so saying you are deliberately going to run a red light isn't going to go down well here.

Just cop your fines, drive sensibly and demerits aren't an issue. We've all had the fines, it just takes longer for some people to wake up and accept the responsibility.

ditto, plus if you are away for 3 months, your unlikley to cop any more points.

just wait it out like a normal person, and you'll get your points back in the 3 years.

Kato, I won't deny they were dangerous, and I won't deny I was breaking the law. However they were mistakes, and were not deliberately reckless or foolhardy. Since then, I've not had anything for a year - and telling me not to drive without lights on is redundant. I am aware that it is unwise. I wouldn't sit down and think to myself "I'm not going to turn my lights on." The situation I'm describing is a car park with florescent lighting, pulled out onto a brightly lit street, so it's plausible the normal reaction to the dark ("I need to turn my lights on") wouldn't kick in immediately.

"Slow down and drive within the speed limit, don't drive without lights on as its just plain stupid and don't put the fact that you are breaking the law down as 'its not my fault'."

At no point did I say these things were not my fault.

I have also not decided to break the law. I am simply considering my options, and I decided to ask for advice before I made up my mind.

That's true. All I could do now is move forward and deal with it. However if I had an option to pay a small fine and clear my points, I should try to decide whether or not to take it.

Also, I ask again. Can someone please direct me to a government site that states "Drive with insufficient light" is a offence worth $100 and 3 points? Because I can't find it. I can find everything else (down to passengers in the tray of a ute), but I'm not even certain this is officially an offence.

Touch wood... I havent had a single fine or demerit point since 2002 and in that time I have had heaps of high powered cars and what not. Its all about concentration on the road.

I think the lowest fine and point you can get these days is $75 and 1 point for "Driving with fog lights on"? Can someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Surely it must be an offence?

Perthzed I would not be admitting to that on any public forum.

Your action amounts to perjury and is an offence that you and your sister could go to goal.

I sat on 11 points for nearly 3 years and drove normally until I got them back so I don't see the big fuss mate, just don't do anything super stupid and be aware of who's around you and you'll be fine.

Seriously if you do lose your licence there is no one else to blame and I'd cop it sweet, at least these days you get a second chance with double or nothing.
