the only real drama with them was the rears, r160 gc8 rear end doesn't like big brakes. mms used an my02 backing plate and modified to suit. pedal feel was never the best, even with braided lines and even a pedal box...something wasn't right.

these brakes are currently on my liberty. on the rears this time, a simple dogbone made it all happen. i drive the car everyday and each and everytime the brakes are applied they put such a smile on my face. they actually work better in the liberty than they ever did in the gc8.

i hate seeing cars over the years, being so close to completion and then stumbling because of a fork in the road and stripped of everything that was ever good and sold off.
No I totally get where you're coming from, I just mean't sometimes you must just feel like nothing is going your way with it and want to give up just for a moment.

But yeah, pick up and regroup and attack it again is definitely the way to go. Too much time (not to mention money) has been invested to walk away now, similar to tino's triumphs and tribulations, glad to see people like you two conitnue on, because that final product and sense of accomplishment is always worth it.

Best of luck with it mate, I admire your patience and self control! I think if it were mine there would've been a spanner or two thrown through a window by now!!

the new 4" hand made exhaust is just awesome, pictures don't do it any justice but quality & fabrication is right up there with the best ive seen, im using v-clamps on all my exhausts from now on! its still being fabbed up so its not fully polished yet but gives you on an idea of how good it looks even at this stage. left to do is the muffler and its three gucci hangers and securing the screamer pipe to the dumpipe with, yes you guessed it, a gucci bracket!

please excuse the polarbear spec camera phone pics.

i love my simmons & harrops

thnx huy!

i was hoping to get it ready for the dyno-day on saturday, but alas, the next one perhaps!

sadly right after i get it back, it goes to macey for the last of stereo upgrades and then shortly after that to fletchers to cut back months and months worth of workshop dust! so if all goes well, *cough* xmas!
