If i was to buy a used car i would take it most probrably to to Stech to have it checked out. Also another reason i want to build so i know every inch of the and there are no surprises.

Anyone else think this has all the hallmarks of another Cat thread?
Hear's hoping it has the same awesome ending.

I wasn't criticising, just saying you seem to have the same determination to do it your way.

What, slowly building a rally car because i cant afford to buy one straight out? Not really anything like Cats thread. Now stop ruining a good thread.

The other option is to sell the STI and use that to buy a rally car.
Personally i hate building anything slowly as i am an impatient cunt. Also is gravel rallying as expensive as the tarmac stuff? I remember when i was doing every tarmac event under the sun i couldn't afford to pay child support during that period.

Gravel or tarmac, rallying can get expensive. Just depends on what type of car, how you drive it and whether you can stay out of the trees.

Motorsport = expensive...
Define your interpretation of expensive.. I believe it's reasonably priced.. My wife's expenses on her 3 horses a week, that i reckon is fucking extortion!!!!! As Karl said, stay out of the trees, maintain your car, have mechanical empathy & it's reasonable (again define your definition of reasonable) Entry fee to a state round of the rally championship is up around the $800, that's before you through any tyres, fuel, go faster bits at the car, get to the event, look after your service crew at the event.... It's like going to the casino though, don't race what your not prepared to through away.!! |
