And now for my next trick...

So heeding some advice I was given I have decided to change the manifold to an 02 model, gaining the ability to run top feed injectors, so yesterdays project was dismantling the manifold and removing the tgv's.

Old inlet manifold

New inlet manifold

Actually a far more simple task than I had first expected. Anyway, just a few snaps of said magic trick, and also of the removal of the old motor.

It's coming along well now. By the end of today I will have picked up my new headers that have now been ceramic coated, along with the turbo and the new dump pipe to suit the twin scroll turbo.

Progress is good! ~ I've had to fluff around at work at lunchtime today & that's set me back 1/2 a day....

Was it a bitch to get off the two dowel pins on the bell housing?

Ah... Yes, yes it was. By far the most piss farting around I've ever encountered with any engine removal. It was more the clutch not being a free standing unit like in all the other engine swaps I've done.

Sometime during the week coming. Everything is there, just a matter of putting the jigsaw back together. Flying home on Good Friday to pick it up. Yayy, Easter on the Nullabor.
