Will NOT be happening ... Albeit 2.35l spinning 8000 plus RPM does make me think.

Shane how much boost do you think the BBK will push efficiently?

We have a winner!

Direct drop in swap for the std motor with single AVCS etc.

Pull out, bolt on all existing peripherals, bolt back in

ok so the "build" for want of a better word (maybe install is more accurate) will be starting in the next couple of weeks.

Seeing as the long motor is somewhat complete I am wondering what else should I be doing while it's out?

Being all my engines have been of a much older vintage this is what I have so far;

Killer b oil pick up
Engine mounts _ Sti??
Pitch mount

Not having taken a great deal of notice of the original motor does it have TGV's should I get deletes?
Anything else that really should be par for the course these days?

Keeping in mind the following will be transplanted form the current motor

Silicone intake under manifold
BBK-m Turbo
Butler Exhaust
PW TMIC
Headers

I am thinking that I may need Injectors due to increase in possible HP
Not a fan of fully hektic intake but will the std airbox prove to be a big restriction?

As I said last motor was easy, it just had everything and I was younger and more tolerant.

I'd change the engine mounts Scary but the pitch stopper ... maybe not. Certainly the oil pickup and the turbo and AVCS oil lines if the standard OEM are still there. I've had no issues with the ACME ones I installed and we both have.

RE the airbox - unless your heading for 250Kw/350Hp at hubs the standard air box will still be fine I'd suggest. If you are heading for those numbers then I'd suggest an injector change. Will also allow for E85 later if your inclined.

Looking forward to a drive when it's all done and dusted.
