who tunes like that? Is there a local dyno house that can tune it like that, or is it only DIY and email tunes?

I had a very bad experience with an email tune before.

Sorry for hijacking, isnt speed density a lot hard to set up initially?

Some places will do it via email and understand that this is riskier but Sean should be able to turn on speed density within a 16 bit ECU. My understanding is that Verso tune is just open source.

16 bit ecu's with Romraider can now do more than Ecutek even.

Not doing email tune on this engine. not even an option. Last time it ended up with a melted piston and cost me a shit-ton of peso's to fix.

Understand that but with Sean setting it up locally you should be a bit safer.

Check these out for making converting easy.

Or if you want an alcohol sensor at the same time to read alcohol content via a phone app.

Plug-and-Play Converter with Bluetooth - Speed Density ('02-'07) – FlexConverter.com
Thanks.
but why would i buy a $25usd harness to plug in a IAT sensor. Those 2 pin plugs are shitty delphi plugs and are worth about $5 each. If i was going to go down that road, id find something that has a different connector on it. Those delphi plugs are the shittest plugs going. They use them on Bobcats and also GM stuff, and they cause heaps of issues with bad connections for auto electricians like me.

To be honest, its not that critical. The AFM works fine. The housing is a just a cheat way to get a bit more (12%) air through it. Im not really fussed about flex compatibility either. The car gets used once a month for racing. E85 is far away from home, and its a bit of a hassle to get it. But given the use the car gets, its not worth having flex.

The cable is just an easy way to
Plug and play. You can achieve the same thing locally but for $50 it is an easy fix.

My old wrx used to eat afm sensors every now and then, especially when I was having fun in the rain.

I have got the extra fittings needed to do the rest of the hydro handy today. Started making up the bulkhead pass thru after work. It aint pretty, But it should work fine. The welded plate should hold it nice and steady so i can really crank the inside fittings up nice and tight. Dont want any leaks.
