If you're trying to work out what PFC to buy for your conversion (ie; unsure of the running gear in the car)
This may help.

93-96. Engine has a coil on each spark plug. ECU has 4 x yellow rectangular connectors. ECU is under the passenger's feet on all WRX.

97-98 Engine has a coil pack right in the centre of the manifold with HT leads running to the spark plugs. ECU has 3 x yellow rectangular plugs.

99-00 Engine has the coil pack offset to the passenger side of centre and the ECU has 3 x plugs that are different colours to each other, the ECU plugs have 4 rows of pins, all older ECU's have only 2 rows.

Where is your dead one Alex?

I'd like it for component spares.

You find me where in the owners manual it says that I can't give it a drink... in English! :P

And my dead one is sitting here playing dust collector. Hit me up and it's all yours.

Hmm, you were lucky. When we took mine out after it's afternoon shower due to the leakage and pulled the cover off, water poured out. It now has it's very own raincoat.
