I have a 2nd hand pfc waiting to go in, When I get around to booking in at allstar to get her sorted should I put it in myself and reset it to base map or (because I'm coming up from Bunbury so its a bit of a drive) should I just leave it and let the guys at allstar do the lot? just worried about running it for that long of a trip to the tune.

After I posted something similar to what you're planning on doing, a very wise soul (Rossco, man of the 'pexi) reckoned it was wiser to let them do the install and tune, as opposed to myself at home. Makes sense really, as it would have been tuned to another car with god knows what kind of tune.

it's literally a 5min job to install it... Save any hassle and get them to do it. (Or do it yourself in their carpark)

Bunbury to perth on no tune, off boost all the way isn't going to happen....Better pack that extra $10k for the dok dok in - Dak Dak out rebuild once you get here.

Cam & Crank sensor re-wiring isn't 5 mins Matty....Plus the 30 minute Pfc idle learn.

Let the boys install it & tune it.....it's only an extra 1/2 - 1 hours work on top of the tune....Saving you $9900!

How so?
Cut 2 wires, strip them, crimp four lugs on, and rejoin.
5mins was being generous.

10 mins to, move carpet, unbolt kick plate & remove old ecu.
10 mins to locate, cut, strip, SOLDER & heat shrink sensor feeds...then check resistance/continuity.

who crimps on a milli volt sensor signal wiring?

More than 5 minutes to do it properly, once, the first time.
