Yeah I know Stace, but they're crimped into proper plugs/ connectors with large contact patches and not done using T-taps.

On the original topic, PFC will do what you want it to do. Im sure if you search there's some feedback on what resolution the pfc/motec/autronic/vipec/link/verso/ecutek ecu/flash options will provide.

Sounds like (i.e. assumption) your 'tuner' would prefer to use motec as that is a staple of the Flood workshop, and if you're confident with what your engine builder does and would like them to provide the complete drive in drive out service, it might be worth considering.

You won't make any more power though.

t-taps are gross.

No, no I didn't.

Each to their own. I use crimp lugs, you use solder.

Yeah, they're the proper terminals.

I still crimp & solder anything that's inline and not going through a plug though, works for me!

These are just as bad unless you have the proper crimping tool.

There's no right or wrong.... Soldering is the most reliable for me.

Thats what I thought. Had a couple of lads gimme the she'll be right crap and I may not know a lot about the ecu shit in a car but she'll be right never has sat too well with me. Thought maybe I was being anal but cool I'm not. would rather let the pro's do it, it's why I pay 'em the big bucks

In regards to connectors, Narva make some very good ones.. I recently used one of their Marine-spec connectors for my boost solenoid.

They are high quality, fully sealed and waterproof connectors, and the pins and seals looks eerily similar to the MoTeC bits that Stace posted.

Isn't old mate from RMS down Bunbury way permanently now? He might not be the best with PFC's (such as Sean from ASG) but he could road tune it well enough to get it up here safely surely???
