Never had a problem with them, NEVER had an incorrect part from them..... Havin half a clue first always helps!

Always been treated with respect by the guys there....... Have delt with them for a few years & will continue to do so.

Perhaps you should have written down the information on the starter (I.e model/ brand & part number) or taken the old one with you.....as you found out they're NOT all the same!

JWS DOESN'T have access to a Subaru parts catalogue...Nor does any other wrecker for that matter.

They have to match parts up.....

How come you never picked it as being incorrect?...you'd seen the original part

Hope you don't need a gearbox anytime soon....

You're new to the scene then I take it?......Never burn a supplier bud.

like i said in the prior replies make your mistakes but learn from them & all businesses are in the customer service industry like it or not.

so some have have good experiences & others bad ones, so the guys who have had good ones go back, the guys who have bad ones well they dont go back. i think this thread has provided both.

yeah maybe some of the words chosen in the thread should have been different but the cheek we got becuase i wanted my cash back wasnt the best.

guess we will leave it at that. matter resolved anyway.

I ve never had a problem with them either, always deal with Banger! Also get stuff for alot less than quoted at other places.

Lol Swan... I rmeember when were were going to convert Jems old rx to a wrx and he told me that jems genuine STI wing wasnt the wing that came with a wrx so he would trade me a normal 93ish wing for the sti wing for only $100! ROFL

I've had no problems with them whatsoever. I actually bought a 'box and diff from them when I was living in Adelaide. Arrived on time, right price, blah blah. Here's hoping you don't go destroying your 'box or anything else. You'd be surprised who reads these forums..

Haha

I went to see a registered undamaged Holden HQ for sale at a wreckers once.

pushed on the front to check the shockies and it didnt move - on closer inspection they were welded solid.

Asked to look under the bonnet and was told the cable broke and I wouldnt be able to have a look and they wouldnt loan me tools to open it.

Hillarious how they thought they would sell a car that way.

needless to say I bought my shiny yellow V8 HQ elsewhere!

I think wreckers have gotten better over the years and wrong parts whilst inconvenient has always been par for the course unless as mention you take your bit in with you.
