I had a look at the specs of the sub - if you're doing a sealed box, it needs to be small eg. 1cu foot. If you're doing a large box (eg. 2cu) you will want it ported which will end up needing a whopping 2.2cu and port tuned to 30-35hz.
If you put it in a massive sealed box, it's going to sound sloppier than a muff burp in a spa bath.

Haha the box is slim fit possibly a little bigger then 1cu foot but sounds like good bass to me man those specs on the back are a guideline sometimes you can get just as good sound without accurately following them ; )

True to a degree. I was just going on that initial massive box you had it in as I had no idea of the size of your new one

sub box and amp rack : D
okay so pulled the sub box out today to finally silicone it and show you all what i achieved. I'm getting amazing sound from this thing I'm actually shocked.
i will post exact measurements tomorrow some time. just started the amp rack this morning fits great i cut out the shape to fit under the parcel tray and its a tight fit between the bar that is under neath and screwed into the false floor. using 40mm thick pine i created support beams for the rack. i will be adding fans behind the rack with holes for them to blow onto the amps these will be 12v pc type fans as the amps get really hot all i need is to get the cover pieces finished just not sure weather to glue them on or screw them on ? but enjoy pics : D feel free to ask any questions |

looks neat but you should take the amps off the amp rack and carpet it and then screw some clear perspects on the front of it maybe wire up some neon's on the amp rack but wire them into the boot interior light so they only come on when the book is open so they dont burn out, gahh i soo wonna finish mine!!
Edit: by the way does your boot still shut? |

yep perfectly there will be a carpeted cover going over it i don't really wanna mess with perspex it always pops out or rattles so all you will se is the amps sticking out : D just like the boot all you will see is a sub woofer ; )
