This... thats why I suggested what i did, 99-00 AFM's are poo. I know a guy with a PFC, his AFM started playing up. When he got it replaced, the car had had to be tuned again just to compensate.

So considering this thread is for GC8...
PowerFC - $1000-$1500 Vipec - $2000-2500 ECUtek - $2000 (assuming similar cost to a stage 3 for GD) Autronics - $? Motec - $? (PNP board for a 99/00 is $2800ish + features + tuning time) All are far superior to the stock ecu. All information talking about GD/GR ECU's in here is just a waste of time as it is a completely different kettle of fish. If I had a 99, it would have a motec pnp in there right now.

Or run a Vipec or a Link or a Autronic and run whatever size intake you want, rotated mount turbo, etc, etc. the mind boggles.
I did not say that the PFC was dumb, inept, or basic, just old. Time marches on, and technology does too. IMO, we should be pushing forward at every opportunity, I heard about this ECUtek raceROM thing. People have been OS tuning it in the US for at least 2 years. It just based on a Group N ROM from Subaru. Thats how far behind we are.
