Crap welds for sure! Tino honestly just put a stock manifold on and you will be sweet! Would have been pretty scary havin it explode like that!

Probably fuel pooling up in the manifold...either a leaky injector, or a poorly designed manifold.
Get an RA manifold with no TGVs. If you wanna go nuts on it, have it extrude honed and match ported. |

Just weld up the manifold. In an explosion like that, the pressure will blow the weakest area, in this case the welds. It has to go somewhere. I've seen a Suzuki running nitrous (leaking fuel solenoid) blow a hole in the plastic intake runner with a similar massive explosion. Bit of gaffer tape over the hole & it carried on for a few more runs.

pull the manifold off and have all the intake section double checked. Piss that manifold off and put a standard unit on.

The injectors were brand new so id be suprised if there leaking, however i may go to a 4 injector setup to save on fuel...
I might go this manifold setup: The pic is a really rough version. Flow tested: If i go with the stock manifold then i will have to change the TB to accomodate the FMIC piping etc... the above manifold uses part of the stock runners...

Looks like an abortion man! Just go stock mani and change your intcooler pipes. Not like having it that lttle bit shorter is making it less laggy.

Why are you so against the stock mani idea?

haha alright, ill go with a stock mani suited to my TB, and extrune honed..
not against it luca, just trying different things. that mani that i showed u has performed very well with a to4 setup and has flow numbers to boot..
