when I downshift I push gearstick towards lower gear and blip throttle a bit so the gearstick just drops in with hardly any effort better for the syncros im guessing? what Ive heard rev matching is better for your gearbox but worse for your clutch, thats the mechanical side but rev matching helps keep the car balanced when driving so you dont get oversteer, drifters call it shift lock? also being 6 foot 6 makes it very hard to turn your leg enough to heel toe haha

I think you're silly for saying that!

It becomes habit, i do it regardless of where i drive. I don't see how it's dangerous at all. You can even modulate brake pressure at the same time as blipping the throttle if you're comfortable with it.

left foot braking is another story.
can do it in a fork lift, could do it in my '66 Val, but doing it in the WRX puts my head through the screen.

the trick to left foot braking is how you angle your foot.
using the acc/brake with your right foot, you hinge your heel on the floor and push your toes down, wheras with the clutch you basically stab it. try hinging your left foot the same as you do with your right. it's a pretty handy tool once you've learned, but does take lots of prac
