In all honesty anyone would be mad to buy a car from Japan when Europe got as many special editions that depreciated a quite disgusting amount.

Dont forget that the Aussie import laws apply to cars coming from all over the world and not just Japan. Its just that for a long long time Japan was the most convenient place to ship from and enjoyed a decent exchange rate.

What cars are avaibale in NZ? I know there are barely any import laws there so the place has been flooded with cars meaning they are dirt cheap.

On a side note, I REALLY want the seats from an S204. Considering the market Impreza's are aimed at I always thought they seating arangment for the front row was somewhat strange.

Hah, almost as good as the reply I got asking for a TD04 or VF35 compressor map.

"Sorry this is part of the programming of the ECU and we cannot assist."

A few emails later telling them that its just a graph on a piece of paper..

"Well since you know so much about what it is, why not try contacting the turbo manufacturer direct?"

Contact IHI...

"Sorry, due to our contracts with FHI, please contact Subaru directly as they will be able to assist with this."
