Sorry to see any nice car end up like this dude...

Will most likely be written off by my reckoning, i'm sorry to say

Normally you can pay a fee to not lose your No Claim Bonus

On the flipside $20K will buy you a nice new ride if you bide your time, OR, buy the wreck back and pay to have it fixed, depending on how far back the engine has been pushed and any damage to the block/chassis/even drivetrain, and how attached you are to this particular car and what they try to flog the wreck for

Any accident you walk away from is a learning experience for you, the accident you don't walk away from is a learning experience for everyone else

cheers, thats some pretty good advice in there, yeh i'm really not sure what i'm going to do if they do declare it a write off, i'll probably have to just let it go as sad as it will be, as i'm not all that mechanically minded and it would cost a fortune and be an absolute pita i think to get panel beaters and mechanics etc to repair all the damage, its gonna suck though

With my front ender. It was both front quarters, bonnet, grille, Headlights, front bumper, supports behind it all and new radiator and condenser. Mine was fixed and insured for 16.5k.

considering all the hail damage work they have been doing, repairers would be falling over themselves to fix this for a break in dents

Yep that's correct and it will even say so in your policy.

"They will use Parts comparable to condition and age of parts before accident"

Or something very similar.

SHANNONS FTW!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn shame as it's such a nice example, i hope it all works out
for you in the end and it returns to the same condition prior to this
incident or even better!
